Industrial Design applies to any products that people use every day manufactured by mass production, such as furniture, furnishings, home appliances, consumer electronics, and automobiles.

Industrial designers develop a product and determine its form, appearance, and features based on research and creativity. We identify problems and consider users' needs, technology, the interaction between users and a product, aesthetics, color/materials/finish (CMF), manufacturing processes, and costs.

It's a combination of art, engineering, and business.
