Interaction are used to structure problems.

reciprocal action, effect, or influence.

Nets are tools to structure interactions and connections between elements (parts/components)

of a product or system.

How do I create an Interaction Net?

  • Use the elements (parts/components) from the Interaction Matrix.

  • Use a circle for each part/component.

  • Number the circle to correspond with the part/component and arrange in a circle.

  • Connect the elements (parts/components) to each other using a series of lines that represent interaction.

The lines are to be two widths representing the following:

The circles represent elements. The lines represent connections.

Use the Interaction Net to discover which elements are connected that are essential or nonessential.

This is a modified diagram of the Interaction Net. It shows no overlapping lines and it is easier to understand.

It is necessary to create the previous net before making this net.
